Meet The Team

Laura Maurice
Laura MauricePresident
Laura Maurice is the founder and president of Connect Staffing, Inc. She founded Connect Staffing after working for a now-defunct recruiting firm and was able to combine what she learned there about recruiting and day-to-day business operations with her prior years of entrepreneurship and account management. The goal? — to create a firm that provides positive experiences and outcomes for candidates, clients and employees.

Prior to becoming a professional recruiter, Laura spent 20 years in public relations and marketing, beginning in issues management on Capitol Hill and Washington, DC, and later expanding into more consumer and business-to-business marketing in Atlanta. She keeps her toe in the water of her former profession as a writer for Attorney at Law magazine. Laura received her B.A. from Duke University and her M.B.A. from Georgia State University. In her spare time, she is an avid yoga devotee as a balance to her Type-A personality. She has lived in Marietta, GA, since 1988. 

Kim Nichols
Kim NicholsAdministrative Assitant
Kim Nichols is the administrative assistant at Connect Staffing, Inc. Kim worked for attorneys for several years prior to joining Connect Staffing and brings her in-depth knowledge of the interworkings of law firms to assist with the recruiting needs of the legal industry. She has additional administrative experience gained as an executive assistant at an international construction company.

Beyond her on-the-job training, organization is in Kim’s DNA, as Connect Staffing’s resident Virgo. She enjoys various types of exercise and spending time with her family and dog in her spare time. A native of Atlanta, she has lived in the Cobb County area since 1985.



Megan Bedinger
Megan BedingerMarketing & Business Development
Megan Bedinger is in charge of Marketing and Business Development for Connect Staffing. Megan literally grew up in the Atlanta legal community … her father founded the Atlanta law firm of Dennis, Corry, Porter & Smith, LLP; her stepmother founded one of the city’s old-line local recruiting firms catering to the legal community and she is married to an Atlanta attorney as well. Megan’s background in legal recruiting dates back 20 years and while she dabbled in marketing and sales in several positions outside of the field, she returned to the fold in 2012 when she joined Connect Staffing.

Megan enjoys building relationships and learning the unique qualities and needs of both law firms and candidates to ensure the best pairings. A life-long Atlantan, she resides in Vinings with her husband and three pugs. She has two grown children and three stepsons who live in Atlanta. Outside of work and family, Megan enjoys walking and cooking.
